Francis Dreyfus Music’s UK Distributor, Discovery Records (www.discovery-records.com), have confirmed to JARRE UK, that Jean Michel Jarre & Francis Dreyfus Music will be releasing 4 Special Edition 180g Vinyls of Jean Michel Jarre’s ‘RARITIES’, containing extracts taken from his recently released ‘ESSENTIALS & RARITIES’ (2011), and Jean Michel Jarre’s Classic Albums ‘OXYGENE’ (1976), ‘EQUINOXE (1978) and ‘MAGNETIC FIELDS (1981), on Francis Dreyfus Music’s Disques Dreyfus Label, worldwide from July 11th 2011, and in the UK from August 8th 2011.

Jean Michel Jarre’s Management have confirmed to JARRE UK, that all of these 4 Special Edition 180g Vinyls have been HD Remastered from Jean Michel Jarre’s restored original tapes, using the same process used for Jean Michel Jarre’s ‘ESSENTIALS & RARITIES’, released on May 30th 2011.

The ‘OXYGENE’, ‘EQUINOXE’ and ‘MAGNETIC FIELDS’ Special Edition 180g Vinyls have exactly the same tracklisting as the originally released Vinyls in the 1970s & 1980s, but the NEW ‘RARITIES’ Special Edition 180g Vinyl has a few tracklisting changes compared with the ‘RARITIES’ CD taken from ‘ESSENTIALS & RARITIES’. Both Vitalic Remixes of ‘LA CAGE’ & ‘EROSMACHINE’ are omitted from the release and the track order of the remaining tracks differs slightly.
